"So I Could Find My Way" by Stacey L. Bolin

My hands are trembling as I find the ability to write once again, it's like riding a bike, you never forget. The sounds of the keyboard clicking beneath my fingers brings a comforting feeling like a hug from that special person you haven't seen in years. Since my travels that took me from my home of 22 years, I fell off the face of the earth in the world of writing.  My love for writing had soured. I won't lie, never have, and won't start now. I was so FUCKEN angry!! I could spit nails every time I opened my mouth. I was pissed off that my home was now occupied by anyone other than my family. I loved my home, I loved my life, and all I wanted was my husband and boys with me. I also lived with a sense of peace by having all my doctors so close...I felt safe. Yet, all that safety was ripped from me when the one person I needed the most told me he didn't love me at the time. He had been mislead for years, with the biggest lie being that life would be better when he moved back to the west. The only thing I will say is that the reality of that painted wonderful life lasted only six months. In December his soul that believed all things were good and kind had been destroyed and had to be rebuilt once again, but I'll get back to that.

For years I honestly thought I was invincible, nothing could hurt me, or at least I could pretend it didn't when in actuality, I had transformed into a clinical case of what I like to call the Hollow Bunny syndrome, Solid on the outside, empty and dark on the inside and so deeply saddened. My sugar coated hope was to transition into a new life in a remote location on a Ranch to rent that was located in a place called Rocky Hollow, that my husband had found only three days before selling our home. It was a relief to know I finally knew we had a place to rest our head and I hoped from what I had seen from google earth, a place to call home until the next move.  Life in Rocky Hollow was like being a part of the Wonderful World of Disney shows that were televised on Sunday nights. It reminded me of my favorite documentary that had been about the life of the cougar. It was like living on a Disney set that was an animal reservation, and I was in love with the feeling of peace that consumed me soon as we drove down into the Hollows. It was everything I envisioned at the age of 9 of what the wild west would and should be like.  When we pulled into the driveway I was overjoyed that the world up on the prairie lands no longer existed in my mind. We were nestled within the trees and rocky hills. It was a dream come true and all was wonderful until my husband went back to work. For the first few months I did all I could to convince myself that all was right in the world, but day by day my intuition was screaming in the back of my mind and one day I decided to act upon this feeling and discovered on August 3, 2016 a negative element found its way into our lives again, or better yet had not been dealt with as I had been promised, but neither of us had the strength to put it in its place and it set a ticking health bomb that was waiting to explode.

My days were filled with a whole new set of challenges with the most worrisome being when the health bomb eventually went off and I had a heart attack in September 2016. A nurses honest words still haunt... noticing that my ER doctors bedside manner sucked, she provided some words of guidance, she was calm as she told me that I was very sick and if my younger son had not been with me to see the signs and if I sign myself out of the hospital, because I'm so goddamn stubborn... they would been planning my funeral that following Tuesday. Talk about shake some sense into a person, a sense that was also laced with sheer fear and that non-stop want to runaway. I'm not proud of myself when I say I let fear take control and I left my home in Rocky Hollow, on Oct 5th, 2016. I left my husband, I left my boys, I left everything behind with no plans to return.

My husband took me to the airport and I did my best to  conceal any emotion that I was broken, and as scary as it sounds, he had no idea I was leaving and he was the only person who could fix the problem if he wanted me back.  It was later, in my travels, that I learned that I had just as much fixing to do with myself. I hugged him and gave him a quick kiss then turned and walked away. I was leaving the man of my dreams. The one who had stepped into my sleeping dreams on that cool winter night in November of 1988 the man in the red van that needed my help. I had only bought a one way ticket to NH to see my mother and then my plans were to go back to Annapolis to see my friends before veering off into a new and unknown world that left me feeling old, cold and alone.

Being back in New Hampshire was bittersweet. I was home, but I carried an emptiness along with my luggage while my husband and boys were living their lives back in Nebraska. As I drove, I began the long journey of self discovery. What had I done to those around me, what had I said, but all I could feel was the reactions of being angry to things that were of no control of mine. That I had made so many promises...AND KEPT THEM ALL! But those who had made promises to me didn't keep them. I needed to find the woman I was before I went into the service and the woman that fought a battle with cancer and survived, the woman who stood up to a bullies, that believed in the power within herself, the woman that would do anything to help someone, the woman who was caring, loving, and compassionate.  The woman who had built herself a small company and loved art. Yet the most important lesson that needed to be figured out...how to find the woman within me who loved herself again, because she knows you have to learn to love yourself before you can honestly love another.

My mother and I spent much needed quality time together, something we had not done in years. She had always been my rock, and this time wasn't any different, she set me straight and what I needed to do to be the woman she knew that lived inside me. It was a great feeling to have a sense of confidence back as I worked feverishly on an order of Crystal snowflakes for a wedding. This was to be my first order since I had temporarily shut my business down during the move. For the three and a half weeks I was there, I had completed the order and felt accomplished. My husband and I had as many phone conversations as his over the road trucking job, without much time off, would allow us. As we shared phone calls with each other into the wee hours of the night at times, I felt myself going back in time, back too 1992 when my mother lived in Hillsboro, NH, and when my Seabee guy decided to fly to New Hampshire to get Married on May 6th.  I felt like that gitty young twenty something girl falling in love all over again. Something was changing inside me that I had never felt before. I was finally letting go of many years of sadness, I was learning that the only person that had control over my happiness was me. It was then I discovered I still loved him, maybe even more than I had thought. I decided that the past was the past and if I wanted things to work out, we had to get back to the place that we were when we met. Baby step...but we've gone through worse. On October 18th, I had decided I was not up for the long drive to Annapolis, and hopped a Southwest flight to Baltimore. I was a bit over confident, how hard could it be to go back and see all my friends and  do a follow up with my doctor. With my new found independence, I believed that going back to Annapolis would be a piece of cake...I WAS SO SO WRONG.

Not a lot of people know that I suffer from Anxiety/PTSD that can result in panic attacks that are so sever that the best of inhalers can't stop the effect and before you know it, you're in the ER. As the plane landed, I was relatively calm, and the sights outside the airplane window found comfort within my subconscious as a feeling that I was home. I was in complete denial that I had ever left and that my family was home waiting for me in Annapolis. I was so excited to see them. To sit out on our deck and listen to the sounds of the city. Karma was about to hit me with everything it had. When I got off the plane and made my way to the rental car transportation pick-up point, something immediately changed, something was horribly wrong and it was at that moment I felt so alone. I took a selfie of me smiling and sent it to my friend Radene, trying to hide the panic that was trying to consume my ability to function. Questions by the thousands hit me like a load of brinks. All revolving around the same topic that I was there and my family wasn't.

I got my rental car and headed for Annapolis. As I merged with the evening rush hour traffic, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think, I was lost both mentally and physically. What seemed like hours trying to get out of the airport location and back to the highways I knew and had driven for 20 plus years, The only place I managed to get to was the Walmart on Quarterfield road.  I sat in the parking lot suffering from a total melt down as I was faced with a sinking feeling that the reality I was facing was that I no longer had a place to go home too  in Annapolis. Our little Blue Rancher on Boxwood Road no longer belonged to us. WHAT HAD I DONE! I hadn't only given up my home, I was giving up my family, but for what? The past, old memories that I can look through pictures and enjoy. As I sat alone weeping for the past, and wanting to know what my future was, I completely gave myself  for the first time to god and asked him for a sign. Immediately my phone rang, it was my husband. I know he didn't understand me as I let myself cry without worry who would hear or see me. He got me calmed down and suggested it may be better to stay in a different hotel rather than the one he and I used to stay at when we wanted a hot tub fix. I agreed and I got a room on the Naval Base. I'm glad I did. While I stayed on the base, I realized what I wanted and what I needed to do to get my life back. One by one my husband and my boys realized that the lies that I had been accused of creating were not of my doing I was just the prime target so they would see me in a different light, again I thank the good lord that they are seeing and hearing first hand I was not the liar they were led to believe I was. It's still difficult for them to accept what and who are the real problems and the players, but day by day, the behaviors of others are showing their true colors. Part of this is the reason my husband decided to leave his job to regroup, the other reason I am not at liberty to share. I know he has dreams of owning his own business and I know as a family we will make all our dreams come true. I'm so proud of him and my boys and together we will keep that CAN-DO spirit that drives us forward.

Another wonderful moment was when I discovered my intuition had finally come back full steam and I've added a little something more to the me I want to be. I thank both my therapists who have finally helped me see that I am not allowed to take on other peoples problems. My new belief is that when people do you wrong, you ask for an apology and move on. never let anyone blame you for their unhappiness, lies, and bad choices. I chose to be a kind, loving, understanding, honest, compassionate, and trustworthy person, but I also chose not to hold on to what hurts me or to take blame for what is not mine and to teach myself that once a person/s loose my trust, it may never come back and that too is not my problem. I will take care of problems immediately and if I did something wrong I take responsibility and apologize. I will protect my family from those who intentionally seek out to hurt them, emotionally, verbally, physically, and financially. My family knows exactly what is expected of them and what I expect out of myself.  I will hold people accountable for their negative actions and I am no longer any body's personal punching bag because of their life choices, AND I WON'T BE BLAMED FOR SHIT I DIDN'T SAY OR DO! No more!

Anyways, as for my stay in Annapolis, it was cut short to five days, as I realized it was time for me to get back to my family. I am thankful that I was able to spend some time with my friend Radene and Paula (Miss you ladies), but my instinct told me it was time for me to go home and regain control over my life and make my business everything I dream it can be. To be the wife, best friend and lover that I had always been, just got lost but now found. To be the mother my boys can come to and know that I will guide them the best way I know how, but that their choices in life is exactly that...their choices. It is still so hard to believe that I had been gone for almost five weeks and at the beginning of those weeks I had just about given up on everything and everyone I loved, but it really makes me step back and take a look at my life. I can see clearly now that obviously this is where I am supposed to be, Here on the Ranch where I now call home. Business is doing great, my dreams to open up an art studio to teach art and ceramics to Veterans is still kinda on hold until we figure out where to put our new roots in the ground, but that hasn't stopped me instead I teach art classes at a great place called Laura Lee's Double L Country Store and CafĂ©. in Harrisburg, NE.

As life does, it's given me another challenge and I have another pending medical issue that has come upon me, but this time I'm not afraid to ask for love and prayers from friends and family, and I welcome my name placed upon the prayer tree. I'll know more in a few days, and if all else, maybe this is another reason I chose this day to put my hands upon my keyboards and let my words appear once again. Now before I forget, I have something else to share about the changes in my life....

And it's the best news of all, my kids are doing great and  hold on to your hats folks... my husband and I are going to be Grandparents. WOOT! WOOT! Can't think of a better reason to start writing again. Life is all about ups and downs, but as long as you're with the people that you love and love you, you can take the good and the bad of what life dishes out and overcome. Stay Positive My Friends and gonna keep this promise too...I will Blog ya later.

A Light From Beyond? What do you think?

23 Days Until Halloween

What happens is that you the reader decides if the stories that appears on - Fact or Fiction Friday are a real story or someone trying to create a scare, but you know me just when you think you know the answer, think again - maybe it’s true? Maybe it isn't. Come back and Join us on Monday for the answer - Until Then - Happy Haunting.
***
A Light From Beyond?
A young woman sits quietly drinking her morning coffee, pondering what had happened to her the day before that literally still has her shaking - never before has she experienced something  so scary.
It was a normal work day as a woman was cleaning a house that was about 10,000 sf. That was located in Laconia, New Hampshire - in a very elite, expensive neighborhood. The house had 3 floors, 4 bathrooms, 14 rooms (not including the bathrooms or 3 other rooms that were in the basement used for storage). The house was huge. Anyway, she was in the family room in the basement vacuuming and about 1 1/2 hours into a 3 hour shift when all of a sudden she was startled when she heard a HUGE LOUD BANG! And almost immediately she could actually "feel" someone watching her. It’s so hard to explain, but she could actually feel it. She was all alone in this huge house and absolutely terrified. She had shut the vacuum off and just stood there shaking and her heart racing. She was terrified and nearly frozen with fear. A few minutes went by; still she just stood there waiting to see if she could hear anything else, while the whole time was entombed by this very creepy feeling. She decided that she needed to check it out and slowly walked over to the hallway and looked up through the railings on the stairway.
The way the stairs were set up, you could see all the way up to the 3rd floor from the basement.  She just stood there breathless - listening and looking. She was 100% sure someone was in the house watching her.  Slowly she walked up stairs - super terrified of the unknown that could be waiting for her.  She stood on the landing right before she got to the main floor and looked down the long hallway. Not seeing anyone, but still feeling a presence. She continued down the hall, looking in each of the rooms one at a time - and yet saw nothing.  She then proceeded to one of the bedrooms on that floor and when she walked in, there was a bed side light on.
"That's strange" she thought to herself, “I had just left that room about 20 or 30 minutes earlier and the light was definitely NOT on.  Maybe I hit the switch on the wall accidentally." She tried it and it was not the switch for that light. Then she thought that maybe it was a touch lamp and that she had bumped it accidentally...NOPE! When she got over to the light it was a lamp with a switch on it just below the bulb that you actually had to TURN it to turn it on.
At this point the woman was completely freaked out!! All this time, she could still feel the presence as she continued to check the rest of the house and found no one.  She went back to her house work and finished vacuuming the house, rounded up her cleaning supplies and got the hell out of there as soon as she could. That feeling of "being watched" to this very day - has never left her the entire time she was there.
When she arrived home she immediately called the owner of the home. She knew it was not their primary residence. They lived out of State, but have the home as a vacation home. Trying to conceal the fear in her voice - she left her a message to please call her. The home owner was always good about calling her back. It been only a couple of hours later as the home owner could tell that something was wrong with her by the sound of her voice in her message. Hesitant, she let her trembling voice asked the question...  "Ummm...is your house haunted?"

The home owner took a moment filling the phone with silence, and then replied, “well, we've been wondering the same thing."
"WHAT?!"
"Sometimes our dog would stand at the end of the hallway and just start barking down the hall, but when we would check - nobody was there that we could see. The dog would act strange a lot and sometimes she would hear noises that the rest of the family couldn't.  Sometimes both my daughter and I would awaken suddenly in the middle of night with the sensation that someone was pulling at our feet. So my daughter and I decided that we needed to know exactly what was going on and so we consulted with a medium and was told that the woman who lived there previously had died and would come back and forth to the house to - play."
She stood and shivered with her phone pressed tightly to her ear as the home owner then remarked with one last comment when she said so casually that the woman’s spirit haunting the home wouldn't hurt her and there was nothing for her to worry about - she didn't care...she was done right then!
***
So what did you think? Is this a true story? Did a housekeeper experience a spiritual entity that wasn't ready to accept that fact they had died?  Let me know what you’re thinking? I would love to hear from you. Until then - have a great weekend and I'll blog ya Monday.

Things Wild and Extreme - Wouldn't Change a Thing.

The store front of what used to be the
Five and Dime in the 70's

Greetings fellow readers and new readers just joining us today. Looks like I have some explaining to do. As everyone knows my passion is to write, but with my extra busy creative mind, things happen and before I know it - I find myself behind a paint brush bringing ideas to life on glass. That's what happened over the month of October and derailed my intentions for spooky stories and crazy legends. So today I wanted to share with you what transpired that took the words that usually build into stories, and turned into painted creations. I don't think many of you know that I own my own business. It's very small, but for me - it keeps me out of trouble.  It all started when my mother took me, as a small child, to a 5 and dime store. For years I had always thought it was my Nana that took me, but writing this story today, one key piece of this story has clarified that it was not my Nana - it was my mother. She had a paper sack from a local grocery store and she told me that we could only get enough Christmas decorations that would fit in this bag. I remember the day like it was yesterday. Their was a huge stow banking from a plow truck that was trying to keep up with the endless amounts of snow that continued to fall to the ground that day. My mothers favorite thing to do, was to go out in weather like this, snow covered roads were nothing to be afraid of, she looked forward to the challenge and so did me and my mother. I remember the windows of the store being decorated with think strands of gold garland, a hug plastic Santa that was illuminated by one single 20 watt blub and plastic trees and toys finished off the look. I remember the chain link rubber floor mat that held that chunks of snow that fell from out boots, and the water stains on the old wooded floor, that creaked as we walked around. The glorious tones of Burl Ives singing "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3s1qLkNU38. I always had loved "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" so this music that had been on my favorite Christmas special - was the icing on the cake. The store was located in Lakeport, NH. I tried to find a picture on the internet of what the store looked like when it was a Five and Dime store, but to no avail. I found a bit more current from Google Earth and took a picture of with my camera to post.

Ok, so back to my story. I remember my mother and I being awe struck by the twinkling lights from was used to be screw in light bulb strands with colors of blue, red and green and could be swapped with lights of white and yellow. I still remember the smell of the lights as they got hot and the smell of the lead tinsel if it touched a hot bulb. She bought ornaments that looks like Germany old world designs, she got tinsel, lights, loads of gold garland, and the most important piece and what brought my memory back - the angel for the top of the tree. It was beautiful and was finished with real spun glass angel hair like looked like rays from heaven when the tree was illuminated each year.

Mom's entire paper sack was filled and flowing over, yet her entire purchase never exceeded five dollars, and back then spending five dollars on decorations was unheard of as money was tight. We were so proud of our finds and even more excited to take them home to decorate a tree. I loved that feeling of joy and glee. That with each year, I would be more and more excited for the holidays to arrive - hoping for the feeling of Christmas and family that had filled my heart at such a age. Many years later, I would find myself with my own family and having money problems and unable to find that feeling that I had once had so many years ago, until Christmas night in 1994, I was reminded in a dream - how to change things in my life.

Go to www.etsy.com, type in this store name: Ukanducrafts. It is here you read about how things became Wild and Extreme - and looking back on it - I wouldn't change a thing, but is the reason why I was unable find my words for the Halloween season. Enjoy.

Here is a sneak peak at some of my art work.

"Pumpkin EXTREME"

15 Days until Halloween

Today's Tuesday blog
is brought to you by the letter "P" for Pumpkin
and the color Orange.

This blog was to have been seen yesterday, but do to Internet trouble there will be two blog posts today. I hope you enjoy a closer look into one of my favorite parts of Halloween. You know, all I can say is that Pumpkin carvings aren't what they used to be.  Don't you agree? Below are just a few, of many carvings, that caught my eye that range from the very bizarre to the traditional and simple. There were so many more that I wanted to post and have found a way to do so, I'll put them at the top of the rest of my October blogs - Ah problem solved, but it still won't cover them all.  I have also posted an event that takes place in my home state of New Hampshire. It is again a must see trip if you have never gotten the chance. Seeing it in pictures or on television does not do it the justice it so deserves. What am I talking about?  - The Keene Pumpkin Festival. I have provided a link below. Hey and guess what - It is this weekend October 20th, 2012. Wait...listen...Do you hear it? I do...it's time for a - ROAD TRIP!!! Have a great day ya'll and I'll blog ya tomorrow.

FALL MEANS FOOD, FAIRS, FAMILY & FRIGHT! R U READY??

ONE MORE DAY UNTIL AUTUMN! YIPPIE!!!

Good Friday Morning to everyone in blogger land near and far. I hope today’s blog finds you all excited for the arrival of autumn, which is indeed one of the most favorite times of the year for me. I love the crispness in the air, the colors of the leaves as they peak and their sounds as they take flight across a cool autumn breeze.  For me, the autumn season means, sleeping with a fan in the window under layers of handmade quilts snuggled up tight next to the one you love. Being invited by your kids to go to their Homecoming parade and then enjoy the sights and sounds of a High School Homecoming football game – win or lose you just feel the fun and happiness in the air. I love the feeling of wearing a fleece over sized sweatshirt and comfy jeans while driving down a country road with your family, on your way to pick apples, with the sunroof and windows open as your listing to a song that reminds you of great times during the fall season. For me one song that instantly comes to mind is a song by Pat Benatar. It is called - One love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOgxVWC4a18&feature=related

But let us not forget that autumn also harbors the heavenly aroma of delicious foods at the fairs. I have two fairs that are my favorite and very symbolic to me and I guess my reason for that is because the memories all include my family, one when I was a young child and the other as a parent with my own children. My very favorite - the Sandwich Fair in Sandwich NH. This event is something that I think everyone should experience once in their life time. I grew up in Laconia, New Hampshire, and I remember always getting so excited for the big day my family would venture off to the Sandwich Fair. I still remember how striking the colors of the trees were and the sharp cool sting in the air that was setting the tone for a winter blanket of snow white.  I remember the strange feeling of my stomach lying to me that it was hungry because of the combine scent of the various foods being made by a multitude of vendors. I think my absolute favorite stand was the Spiced Cider and homemade pumpkin drizzle donuts that really accompanied the fall weather beautifully.  I marveled at the huge crowds of people that never  resulted in long lines. Who knows maybe I just planned it right when going on the rides or getting those must have french fries covered in ketchup.  For some reason at the Sandwich Fair, everyone just seems to mingle and move well, or maybe I was just having way to much fun to notice or let it get to me. This Fair is also the place where I made my first step into the world without my family, when my mother allowed me to finally go outside of the city limits with my high school friend in his car, who was taking others from school as well.  THANKS DAN, for the memories of a fun trip in your Mercury Montego. I'll never forget the sense of freedom that I felt that day.

Check out the pictures below and I also provided a link if you ever wanted to plan a trip to NH in October.  You won't be disappointed.

My second favorite fair is the Anne Arundel County Fair. This is a fair that my entire family has been coming to and getting involved with for over ten years.

Now I have got to say, the three boys in my home really enjoyed themselves this year, and yes when I say three boys, I am including my husband. This year my two sons actually got to work their dream jobs with companies who have been vendors at the fair for many years. As for my husband he finally had a dream come true, but let’s start with my sons first. My older son was hired by a company that is operated all by young ladies, what teenage boy would turn this opportunity down? These ladies call their business "Cowgirl Up" pony rides/parties. They manage the business while their parents are very strong supporters of what they are doing. It's a great thing they've created.  Check out their link. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cowgirl-Up-Pony-Parties/123017821107203.
My younger son was hired this year to work for "Fast Action Motorsports Entertainment" which is a contained R/C car race track. Go to their website to learn more. www.fameracing.com  Now there is something very special about this company. Both of my boys have won the championships over the course of 8 years, with the exception of last year. Below is a picture of some of the trophies my younger son has won, and I don't dare go into my oldest sons bedroom - have you seen the pending nightmare that lurks in an 18 year old boys room? All I can say is Halloween is just around the corner; I'll save that story for the horror story segment of my blog. *Wink*

This isn't even half of the trophies that my boys have
won from "Fame Racing"
and they had fun collecting them.
My husband, younger son, and myself with one of the reps
of the company and the car that I sponsored
 in2011 to promote my book.
#56 was my husbands football number in High School
and the yellow and black resembles the "Bee" in me.

OK, I'm getting off track, ha-ha no pun intended, so where was I, oh yes,  with the exception of winning last year, which was a pivotal moment for my younger son as this was when he learned that sometimes holding a title isn't everything and sometimes when we lose - WE WIN! This year, his dream came true and he was indeed the big winner when he found himself working alongside of some of the most wonderful people I have ever met. My younger son is so into R/C Cars that it is almost scary how well he can put these things together and make them go as fast as they do.

I also did something unlike me, and decided that it was time to get over my fear of touching people, and so I ventured out and assisted the "Tiffany's Moon bounce/Face painting" company as a face painter. (I can't find a link on line for her at this moment, but I know her very well and I'll get one) I went from mild to wild all depending on the person and what they were wanting on their face, cheek or arms. I even had a lady that was so impressed with the sleeve look on her arm, that she asked me if I would be willing to body paint at an adult Halloween party...SPOOOOOOKY!!!!  Ha-Ha Yes, I'll admit, I was very curious, but gracefully declined. My husband will be bummin about this decision - I'm sure. Smile. I excelled in all the designs in a book that the owner had with her. I just decided to take the designs and add even more life to them. This book is what I used; my favorite was the rainbow glitter style design. People believed they were wearing masks and that it was not painted. Made me feel great, but the lines were crazy endless once they figured out where I was located. I also painted this horse on my arm just before the fair opened so people could see that I could paint in a simplest way so that it didn't burn their money out of their wallet.

I painted this upside down on my arm.
People really believed it was a Tattoo
and was in disbelief when I told them
it was face paint. Did they want me to
paint something on their face.
*Smile*
They Did.

I gave them every bit of their monies worth and then some. Nobody went away unhappy, and this includes my husband. He too had a dream come true and in came in the form of being flat, green, and was the size of money...Ok it was money. Because I also decided to dabble a bit in the money making part of the fair this year, what money I brought in from face painting, meant money for all the delicious food the fair had to offer. I felt kind of like a sugar mama' and I loved it. For once we didn't have to kill our budget or take out a loan, just to enjoy the fair.

So when I get that first taste of autumn, fun with family and my favorite two fairs are the very first memories that tickle my senses and lets me know that it's time for more wonderful memories to be created and that I am thankful that the hot, humid, and hazy days in Maryland are finally behind us. I don't have to worry about my husband working in the blazing sun and my kids want to get out of the house. Needless to say - when fall hits this Bolin home - Everyone is happy!!!  What's the old saying...A family that plays together - Stays together.  Below I have added some additional highlights of our times at the Anne Arundel County Fair  Hope you all have a wonderful "First day of  Autumn Weekend!"  Oh, one last thing for those anticipating things that go bump in the night, if you're not afraid....I dare you to click on the video below.
