"Naughty Naughty"
Written By: Stacey L. Bolin
A nip in the air on a autumn day,
pumpkins and cornstalks galore.
Orange and black decorations,
fill the shelves in retail stores.
A small girl sit behind her desk,
day dreaming of Halloween.
Scary ghouls and spooky ghosts,
in each community will be seen.
A teacher asks day dreaming Sally,
what she's going as this year.
Will she be trick or treating,
in a costume others fear.
Her reply is sweet and innocent,
she never even blinks.
Her explanation harmless,
or little does she think.
Brothers costume is Frankenstein,
Big sisters is a witch.
Daddy says mommy is wearing hers,
she's going as a bitch.
Teacher then wrote a special letter,
it was addressed to Sally's dad.
About the "B" word that she used,
and she needs to know that's bad.
Mommy read the letter first,
before Sally's dad got home.
When he got back from work that night,
he was wishing he lived in Nome.
Mommies eyes were filled with fire,
her jaws clenched tight with rage.
Her blood was wild within her,
like a bear thrown in a cage.
Daddy worked upon a plan,
after hearing what was written in the letter.
Saying anything that he could,
to make Sally's mom feel better.
It was something I was reading hon,
I thought I was alone.
I read joke book out loud,
didn't know the kids were home.
The lesson that was learn,
on that nippy autumn day.
Be careful when kids are in the room,
and sensor what you say.
Note: We are happy to report that Sally's dad is still alive to talk about this - "Joke". Happy Halloween.
